Standup for the Cure 501c3 does it again. With support from Presenting Partners Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and Boardworks Surf the 2nd Annual event at Lake Sammamish State Park doubled attendance and fundraising efforts of the previous year. With a winning combination of Fun, Compassion, Live Music, Great Food and Paddling the Standup for the Cure community continues to grow. “Our mission to save lives through early breast cancer detection while having fun seems to resonate in every community we visit.” Said Dan Van Dyck, Executive Director of Standup for the Cure.
Boardworks, a leader in the surf and standup paddle industries and proud partner of Standup for the Cure, a charity paddling event that raises money for early breast cancer detection and treatment, announces the event’s triumphant return to Seattle, Washington.
As Standup for the Cure 501c3 writes fundraising checks to Susan G Komen Orange County, CA and Susan G Komen Michigan they are preparing to bring their unique event to the Pacific Northwest for the 2nd year. After seven successful years, Standup for the Cure, alongside its national sponsors, Boardworks Surf, and Barefoot Wine, announce Standup for the Cure, Seattle to benefit the Puget Sound Affiliate of Susan G. Komen.
Standup for the Cure brings paddle boarding fun to Lake Sammamish State Park on August 26 in its first benefit for Susan G Komen Puget Sound.
The Northwest Paddling Festival at Lake Sammamish State Park in Issaquah, Friday May 12 and Saturday May 13, is pleased to announce the addition of a Red Paddle Dragon World Series Race to its lineup. The Dragon World Series is the world’s first team SUP racing competition, with races taking place around the world, culminating in the Dragon World Championships in Barbados in October 2017.
