APP World Tour to Air on CBS Sports

OAHU, Hawaii - After an epic start to the 2017 season at Sunset Beach last week, the APP World Tour is proud to announce the kick off to its partnership with CBS Sports Network this week with a series of airings of its 2016 Show series. As part of a multi-year deal that will air all shows from the 2017 season as well, CBS Sports Network has been positioned as the US broadcast partner for the APP World Tour.
Check out 2017 action that includes features on Sunset Beach and World Tour Surf Champions, the Mercedes SUP World Cup in Germany, the Victoria Cup in Japan, the inaugural Red Bull Heavy Water in San Francisco and the Maui Pro-am, the 2017 edition of which is coming up next week.
Here is a list of the air dates, so make sure to tune into CBS Sports Network for all the action from the APP World Tour. Please note that all listed times are on East Coast Standard time, so 3 hours less for Pacific Standard time and 5 hours less for Hawaii Standard time:

Maui Pro-Am to kick off next week, opening the Racing season in style on Maui's North Shore celebrating the World's premiere venue
The Opening leg of the APP World Tour in Hawaii continues next week with the kick off to the 2017 Racing Season at the Maui Pro-Am, running from the 10th - 12th March on Maui's North Shore. It will be a fun filled weekend for all the family, with everything from Open, entry level and youth competition, to World Class Racing from the World's very best athletes. Here is a breakdown of the weekend's activities:
- Foiling Exhibition event: To open proceedings, there will be a foiling exhibition event (Invitational) on Thursday 9th March, to showcase the evolution of this incredible new dimension to Stand up Paddling, as a select group of the World's best will take part in an exhibition run from Maliko Bay to Kanaha Beach Park
- Welcome & Registration event at Hi-tech Surf Sports: 5pm, Friday 10th March: Save by pre-registering online, but entries can be submitted at Hi-tech Surf Sports from 5pm - 6:30pm on Friday 10th February, as well as a check in for all athletes and pick up of their race kit
- Saturday 11th February: Ho'okipa Beach Park: all things surf will take place on Saturday, with an open surf exhibition to kick things off at 9am, followed by the dynamic and dramatic APP World Tour Sprints starting at 11am, and live broadcast across the globe at appworldtour.com
- Sunday 12th February: this will be a day for all the family to participate, from youth team racing in the morning at Kanaha Beach Park from 9am, to the famous Maliko Bay to Kanaha Beach Park Downwind Run that will feature age group divisions, Qualifier Series racing (14' and under) with its own $5k prize purse and APP World Tour Racing (12'6) for the World's very best athletes. All this will culminate in an Awards presentation for both 2016 World Titles, but also 2017 Maui Pro-Am Champions on center stage, with LIVE music by Paula Fuga and friends to cap it all off free for all down at Kanaha Beach Park.
- Rock n Brews will host the live feed on Saturday in their Paia and El Segundo establishments, as well as locally in Paia, a screening of past APP World Tour Shows and an after party on Sunday evening to wrap a full weekend of action. It will be the place to be next weekend for all the action from the APP World Tour.
With a $50k all-in prize purse, hand-crafted trophies for all divisions, t-shirt and racing jersey for all participants and the prestige and fun of participating in the 2017 Maui Pro-Am, it will be an incredible weekend of action on Maui's North Shore from the 10th - 12th of March.
