Battle of the Paddle Moves To Salt Creek

DANA POINT, San Diego - The biggest Stand Up Paddle Race of the year, the Battle of the Paddle California, has officially been moved up the road to Salt Creek. For the last six years the BOP has taken place in the calm, contestable waters of Doheny State Beach, but the relationship between the State Parks and race organizers hasn't flourished along with the event, causing a shift in venue.

Moving on now, this year's Battle of the Paddle will be as epic, exciting and intense as ever - possibly even more, given that salt Creek picks up more swell than Doheny State Beach. With continued support from Rainbow Sandals, we can still look forward to the world's best paddlers coming to California to compete for one of the most prestigious prizes in SUP racing. The dates for 2014 are set for October 4-5. Even though it's still months away, we'll no doubt keep you updated on any news and updates leading up the event.
