Boardworks Surf athlete Mike Tavares just put out a rad video with him and Dan Gavere surfing behind a sternwheeler on the Columbia River Gorge. Here is what Mike had to say, “Surfing one of the greatest sternwheeler waves in the country with Mike Tavares and Dan Gavere in the Columbia River Gorge. This sternwheeler produces standing waves that can be ridden for up to 2 hours a cruise. Special thanks to the captain for allowing us to ride the waves and for being so accommodating to us every time we show up! Always check with the captain prior to surfing and never get in its way on the water.”
