5. Surfer Nutrition: What to Eat to Catch the Perfect Waves
Heat Score - 65
Most people believe that to improve your paddling, all you have to do is practice. Stand up paddling requires high amounts of stamina, energy and muscle function. Without them, this can mean the difference between missing the best waves of the day and winning the competition. Learn more HERE.
4. Baxter is Back & Honscheid Continues Streak at Kerama Blue Cup
Heat Score - 72
A dozen of the world’s best paddlers stood on the start line alongside Japan’s finest, with grey skies and light rain greeting competitors Saturday morning after a week of blue skies and warm weather. The overcast weather was quite welcome though, as it turned down the temperature and gave athletes respite from the island’s infamous heat and humidity. The race course featured flat water, sidewind and downwind as the course weaved through the tropical islands of Zamami. Read the full recap HERE.
3. Paddle Boarding Tri An Lake, Vietnam
Heat Score - 78
Tri An Lake is a man-made lake but exudes natural beauty with its spectacular display of the sun, sky and wind. It could very well pass off as a work of nature. Explore this destination HERE.
