4. Paddle Boarders Raise $85,000 for the DRCF

Determined paddle boarders tested their mettle to help raise over $85,000 in donations and sponsorships for the Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation Saturday, June 9. Total funds raised for the event as of this writing are just over $85,000 with donations still coming in. Local businesses donated more than an additional $15,000 in in-kind donations. 2. First SUP Descent Of Europe's Deepest Canyon

For the first time in history five stand up paddlers - Vallentin Illichmann, Stéphane Pion, Nicolas Fayol and Stetcher twins Mario and Manuel - have successfully completed a self-supported descent of the deepest canyon in Europe, the Tara River Canyon. The four day, 150km SUP journey took the expert team through the Tara River from the Dynamic Alps of Montenegro to the Bosnia border. Watch the video HERE.

With a record field of 272 athletes across all divisions (kids, juniors, elite, amateurs) the 6th annual Iberdrola Bilbao World SUP Challenge in the Basque Country of Spain was the fifth stop of The Paddle League World Tour and week 7 of the 2018 EuroTour presented by Rogue. Read the recap HERE.
