4. SUP Athletes Compete For The First Time At 2016 Yukon River Quest

For the first time in its 18 year history, stand up paddlers have been invited to compete and participate in the in the 2016 Yukon River Quest. In the first year of being invited to the Yukon River Quest stand up paddle boarding (SUP) will be in the event as an experimental category and has attracted some of the world’s most renowned adventure and endurance stand up paddlers. 3. Baxter & Honscheid Win In Dramatic Fashion In Germany

After ratings leaders Fiona Wylde and Casper Steinfath took victory in the Sprints during harsh weather on Saturday, Sunday cleared up and provided excellent conditions for the distance race where Michael Booth and Sonni Honscheid pushed through to take the win. After the two races Connor Baxter and Sonni Honscheid claimed the overall win for the second stop of the Stand Up World Series. Read all about the event HERE.

I was taking the Captain of our ship out for his first SUP paddle ever as the weather began to change. It was one of the most beautiful places I've paddles.
