Pipeline SUP Invitational Announces Invitees

The Waterman League is proud to announce the athletes selected for the Pipeline Invitational, together with alternates. With the focus on showcasing Hawaii born talent at what is Hawaii's most iconic wave, here is the shortlist of 10 athletes selected for the Pipeline Invitational in memory of Duke Kahanamoku.

Australian All-Rounder Jamie Mitchell To Compete In The Ultimate Waterman

Australian Jamie Mitchell will line-up against the world’s best watermen in a quest to win the 2016 Ultimate Waterman title. Mitchell will join eight other athletes from around the world, including fellow countryman and waterman Mark Visser, in New Zealand from the 12-20 March, 2016. They’ll compete in eight surf disciplines to decide who is the best overall waterman.

TriSUP Triathlon Series Launches In United Kingdom

The triSUP series is the ultimate alternative triathlon series, which replaces the traditional swim leg with a ‘SUP’ (stand up paddle board). Participants will therefore SUP, Ride and Run. SUPing has seen massive growth in recent years and is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK.

Florida Woman Breaks Paddle Boarding World Record

Seychelle Hattingh has just accomplished an incredible task. Seychelle just broke the record for longest paddle (man or woman) in 24 hours, paddling 110 miles pretty much non-stop for 24 hours straight (her longest break was only around five minutes).  Seychelle broke the current record on December 5th and 6th, 2015 and did it all to raise funds to sponsor athletes from Florida Monroe County that participate in the Special Olympics.

Riviera Paddlesurf announces the launch of their 2016 Catalog. We have been hard at work and are excited to introduce updates and additions to our 2016 line. Our popular 12’6” Voyager and Riviera 10’6” & 11’6” Originals have been refined. Denmark Launches Bid To Become First European Host For 2017 SUP World Championships

Denmark has become the first country to announce a bid for the 2017 ISA World StandUp Paddle & Paddleboard Championship. If successful, Denmark would become the first European country to host the World Championship. The ISA World StandUp Paddle & Paddleboard Championship has never been staged outside of Latin America, so Denmark is hoping to play a leading part in showcasing the exciting and developing sport to a European audience.

Prestigious Pipeline SUP Invitational Announced

Prestigious Pipeline SUP Invitational announced for January to showcase the sport at one of the World's most infamous waves. Pipeline, on the North Shore of Oahu is one of the most notorious waves in the world. We are proud to be able to announce that a selection of the World's best Stand Up Paddle surfers will have the opportunity to take on the Pipeline at a unique sporting showcase in January here on Oahu's Fabled North Shore.
