A beautiful day greeted paddlers last weekend in Scharbeutz for the 7th stop of the 2023 Euro Tour. The racing was tight and intense for both the men's and women's races.
There was quite a bit of pressure to return to Germany for the EuroTour this year and stop #6 in Nordhausen and the 5th Grand Slam of the season didn’t disappoint.

The 2016 SUP World Cup in Scharbeutz Germany was a huge event. There was a huge crowd on the beach and a stacked field of competitors. After five weekends of racing in Europe, it was finally coming to an end as this was my sixth and final event in Europe for the summer.
After ratings leaders Fiona Wylde and Casper Steinfath took victory in the Sprints during harsh weather on Saturday, Sunday cleared up and provided excellent conditions for the distance race where Michael Booth and Sonni Honscheid pushed through to take the win. After the two races Connor Baxter and Sonni Honscheid claimed the overall win for the second stop of the Stand Up World Series.
