5th Paddle At The Porch Hits Gulf Waters On August 20

DESTIN, Florida – The 5th Annual Paddle at the Porch, a stand up paddle board (SUP) race, will take place on Saturday, Aug. 20, in the beautiful emerald green Gulf waters behind The Back Porch Seafood & Oyster House in Destin, Florida. It offers races for all skill and age levels, with its 1-Mile Beginner Ride, 3-Mile Recreational Race, 6-Mile Elite Race, Kids’ Fun Paddle, and, new this year, Relay. The top three male and female racers in the 6-Mile 12’6” Elite Race will split a $6,000 cash purse!
The weekend fun begins on Friday, Aug. 19, with a Packet Pick Up Party & Board Demos at The Back Porch. It continues on Saturday morning with the races, which have staggered start times, beginning at 9 a.m. Racers and spectators alike will enjoy the festive atmosphere with displays and booths set up along the beach. The event will conclude with awards and check presentations. Registration is now open!
