Starboard Introduces Tiki SUP Challenge 10X

SAN DIEGO, California - In celebration of Starboard's 10x climate positive journey, Starboard today announced their virtual SUP challenge, the Tiki SUP Challenge 10X. The challenge is simple: paddle 10km in one session any day between today and October 10, 2022.

Starboard is a 10X Climate Positive brand. So what does 10X climate positive mean? "We achieve this by planting mangroves, that will absorb 10 times the amount of carbon dioxide we emit over 20 years. And this journey would never be possible without YOU, our Tiki Family."

Each participant will have one mangrove planted for them and 1.1 KG of plastic removed from the coastlines of Thailand. Entering this competition is your key to taking care of our planet! The competition is open to everyone and you can use any type and brand of board. There are also loads of awesome prizes you can win, and category prizes including:

• A paddle board (15x Starboard up for grabs!)
• A SUP paddle (10x Starboard paddles up for grabs!)
• @COROS GPS Watch ($500 Gift Card)
• @scg.official backpack (Limited edition backpack)
• And Starboard apparels

How to Join

1. Register

Register to be listed on the leader board. You can also compare your paddling result with other Tiki fans! No worries though, the time and performance of your session are not related to your chances of winning the prizes. 

2. Paddle 10Km by 10.10.2022

Pick any day between now and October 10th to paddle 10 km in one session. You can go solo, go in groups or go with your furry friends! Track your session. You can use any of your GPS tracking applications but if you have no clue, we recommend Relive app. *Always wear a leash

3. Take Pictures

Take pictures of:
– Yourself and the gear you used. Tips: Can be more than one picture because we have picture award categories as well!
– A screenshot of your GPS data showing your 10km paddle and time duration.

*Always wear a leash. Any photos without a leash will not be entitled to win prizes

4. Post your Session

Post everything on Instagram or Facebook by 10.10 (October 10th, 2022) and tell us something about your session in the caption.
