3rd Annual Native Sons Salt Games to Kick Off Summer Season!

MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina - The Salt Games presented by Native Sons is scheduled for Saturday, May 30th and Sunday May 31st, 2015 at the old Pavilion Site on Ocean Boulevard between 8th and 9th Avenue N. Events will run Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Free to attend; some events require a registration fee to compete.
The Salt Games features a community yoga class on the boardwalk followed by The Native Sons Pro/Am Surf Competition, Take A Kid Surfing Day with the Surf Dreams Foundation, Crossfit Up Dog Summer Challenge, Paddleboard Races, Peaches Corner Hot Dog Eating Contest, The Ben & Jerry’s Kids Run, Coors Light Pro Beach Volley tournament, Tug-O-War, Malibu Surf Bar’s Girls Just Want To Have Guns Bikini Competition, and the Lifeguard Games featuring all lifeguards from six beach services battling each other in a relay race and one on one drills. The event will also include a restaurant relay, corn hole competition, a hula-hoop competition, Surfrider half pipe, beer trailers and entertainment. Proceeds will benefit the Surfrider Foundation.

Our events range from competitive to just for fun and there are dining tents and bleachers if you’d rather hang out for the day and watch the competitors.
